Earth Day 2011

April 20, 2011 is Earth Day and several events have been planned around Salt Lake City to celebrate the event.
Today, Westminster College is celebrating Earth Day on the plaza with a street fair.  Fresh organic food is being served, live music, and several booths with environmental projects and initiatives will be included.
TheUniversity of Utah will host: Earth Fest 2011 on the Union Plaza Friday from 10 am-2:30 pm.  The festival will include local food vendors, a bike parade around the campus from 1-2 pm, and booths and information from Earth Day organizations. University of Utah ASUU Director of Sustainability Norah Olley and Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker plan to attend the festival.
The University of Utah will also have an e-waste recycling Friday and Saturday, April 29-30 in honor of Earth Day 2011.
