Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys -- despite a 6-10 finish last season -- emerged with an NFL-high six national TV appearances when the 2011 regular-season schedule was revealed on Tuesday.
It's a testament to the drawing power of theJerry Jones' club. America's Team to some and reviled by many others, the Cowboys are an eyeball magnet on TV.
Six of the 13 most-watched TV programs last fall (which, incidentally, were all NFL games) involved the Cowboys.
So regardless of the Cowboys' fate on the field, they will almost always be a staple on TV.
Their six national TV appearances include:
  • the Sunday night Week 1 opener at the Jets
  • the Monday home opener against the Redskins in Week 3
  • a Sunday night game at Philadelphia in Week 9
  • the Thanksgiving matinee against the Dolphins in Week 12
  • a Sunday date home date against the Giants in Week 14
  • and a Saturday night visit to the Bucs in Week 15
The Cowboys are also likely to appear in the late-afternoon premier TV window on Fox and CBS many times (Week 6 at New England at 4:15 p.m. is a good bet for that). Those windows won't be finalized until the season draws closer, but they would add more TV even exposure to Tony Romo & Co.
Of course, the NFL has to settle its labor dispute before any of the announced 2011 games can be played. But commissionerRoger Goodell said he's confident no games will be missed.
