PetSmart



PetSmart
A man used a handgun to threaten another person during an altercation in front PetSmart on the evening of March 23, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the man, who was described as a white male with a medium build, approximately 35-40 years old, threatened another individual with a gun outside of the PetSmart at 2160 Jericho Turnpike at around 8:45 p.m.
The victim described the gunman as a "strung-out druggie" and said he fled in a white 2003 Nissan Maxima with tinted windows and front fender damage.
The gunman was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and had what police described as a scruffy beard.
A Commack PetSmart employee said the company is aware of the incident but could not give any further details. A call placed to PetSmart headquarters Friday afternoon was not immediately returned.
Police are also looking to identify a woman who they claim stole a Dyson vacuum cleaner from theTarget on Veterans Memorial Highway on March 21.
