Nick Cannon will officially launch a nationally syndicated radio countdown this month. Joining nationally syndicated programming from Ryan Seacrest, Tom Joyner, former BET personality Big Tigger, Steve Harvey and Michael Baisden, Cannon's countdown was confirmed late Tuesday.
"CBS RADIO has been an incredible partner," Cannon said Tuesday, confirming the forthcoming launch and extension of his morning show on 92.3 in New York. "With the success that we've had together with my morning show on 92.3 NOW in the New York City tri-state I am thrilled to now have the opportunity to reach radio listeners nationwide with my new 'Cannon's Countdown' show."
According to CBS Radio, the show will be titled 'Cannon's Countdown,' launching April 23 in select markets including New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Washington DC, San Francisco, Phoenix, Detroit, Tampa, Orlando, Hartford, Las Vegas, Sacramento and West Palm.
The several hour show will list the most popular Urban or CHR Pop/Rhythmic Songs, in addition to Cannon's point of view on the latest entertainment and fashion news, event listings, new music, and gadgets.
Cannon will continue to host both America's Got Talent (NBC) and 'Rollin' With Nick Cannon' (Morning Show, 92.3 NOW) as well as act as chairman of TeenNick.
Cannon's Countdown premieres April 23.
