Narayana
In protest against the growing corruption in the country, CPI state secretary K Narayana launched a two-day hunger strike here on Saturday. Veteran communist leader and former mayor T Venkateswara Rao formally inaugurated the fast camp in front of the sub-collector's office on Bandar road.

Addressing the gathering, Narayana lashed out at the Congress-led governments at the Centre and state for the growing black money in the country. He said that several ministers in the government were involved in worst scandals resulting in severe loss to the exchequer. He added that Prime MinisterManmohan Singh had become a puppet in the hands of the corrupt coterie of the Congress high command and unable to act against the corrupt leaders.
