John Edwards

John Edwards
Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is getting some backing from an unfamiliar source: Meghan McCain.
The daughter of Arizona U.S. Senator John McCain, and frequent critic of Ms. Palin, seemed to side with the former vice presidential candidate this week while discussing the upcoming HBO movie Game Change.
“What do I predict with the HBO Game Change movie? I expect my family and Sarah Palin to be nothing short of crucified,” Ms. McCain wrote in a blog post.
Ms. McCain also seemed to sympathize with former North Carolina U.S. Senator John Edwards.
“More than anyone I feel for the Edwards family, out of all the stories. Elizabeth Edwards is dead and John Edwards could face jail time,” Ms. McCain writes.
“He has three children that will more than likely be present during the reliving of all of this on HBO.”
The HBO movie is set to come out just as the Republican presidential election hits full swing. Ms. Palin has voiced her interest in entering the 2012 campaign, however, she has yet to announce her intention.
The former Alaska governor faced criticism during the 2008 presidential campaign. A number of recounts have noted tension between Ms. Palin and Mr. McCain.
