Looks like Salman proves himself to be a rule maker when it comes to his own films. The latest report has revealed that for the much publicized item song ‘Character Dheela’ in 'Ready', Salman made sure to do the dance number with the ‘Veer’ actress Zarine Khan and not with Jacqueline.
It is learnt that at the outset the song was offered to Jacqueline, but apparently because of Salman Khan, Zarine bagged the hot dance track opposite him.
Speaking about how Zarine got herself an interesting song number in ‘Ready’, sources close to the unit stated that Salman convinced director Anees Bazmee and gave strict orders that he would do the ‘Character Dheela’ item number only with the actress.
“Salman ne kaha ki Zarine ko lena hai. And who can argue with Salman? So, Zarine it was,” said the source.
Salman has a soft corner for Zarine
It’s learnt that Salman wanted to help Zarine at the professional front and this item song will certainly give a boost to her dipping career.
“It is known that Salman has a soft corner for Zarine. Add this to his helpful nature and you get the complete picture. In other words, Salman ne kisike sar pe haath rakh diya, toh woh uske liye kuch bhi karega,” said a source.
About ‘Character Dheela’
Interestingly, for the ‘Character Dheela’ song, Salman and Zarine will be seen in a different avatar. The actor will be seen paying tribute to Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar and Dharmendra.
‘Character Dheela’, which has been choreographed by the ‘Dabangg’ choreographer Mudassar Khan, will see Salman and Zarine playing Saleem and Anarkali in one sequence, Veeru and Basanti from ‘Sholay’ in another sequence, and Raj Kapoor and Nargis in the remaining part of the song.
